About Me
Hi, my name is Pokie. Yes, that's my name. No, it's not short for anything and it's not a nick-name (long story). All my life I've liked making things--starting with parts for models to weird attachments on bicycles. Problem is I didn't always have the knowledge or ability to make things the way they should be made. Over time changing from one job to another I collected enough knowledge and tools to be able to change or build things the way I wanted them. Whether it's a lost part for a lawnmower or replica part for a valued antique, I get my jollies making it. I often will make things for friends and neighbors from shelving brackets to Christmas presents. The the whole reason for these pages is to see if anybody else would be interested in some of the doo-dads I make.
I will, from time to time, write a short story of building something. These stories aren't intended to toot my own horn, but rather to give the reader that extra little push to create his or her own dream or desire. Yes, there are lots of things I can't do but I try real hard to concentrate on those I can.
